Large orders in the book
Book levels with exceptionally large resting orders, and how long they stayed.
How we compute it
A level whose average order is in the top 1% of the last 30 minutes for that market (no less than a fraction of the large aggressor order threshold); a line for as long as it rests in the book, and after 30 s a label “number of orders × average value”.
How to read it
- A large order that rests for a long time is someone's plan; a one-second flash is often a test.
Traps
- A large order can be bait and disappear before price gets there.
Combine with
- With walls: was the large order actually filled.
